About Digital Locker

New Urban High School Digital Locker (newurban.schoolweblockers.com) is a file storage service provided by Information and Instructional Technology Services.

This system is offered as a resource in the pursuit of (education, research, service and noncommercial use). This web based file server may be used to store copies of important documents (e.g. homework, notes, papers, presentations and graphics).

System Use

You are responsible for the integrity and availability of your data files. Always keep backup copies of your data on additional media (e.g. local hard drive, CD-ROM, flash drive, etc.). Before leaving for the summer, please be sure to download copies of your data to other media such as the examples mentioned above.

The file server disk space is available to students, faculty and staff. Your eligibility is based on enrollment at New Urban High School. USERS of the storage should be aware that any documents saved or published in your space on this file server are New Urban High School owned and may be subject to the Open Records Act.

Rights and Responsibilities

• By logging in and using this service you agree to use the service only in a manner that is consistent with this policy and with other NUHS/NCSD rules governing acceptable use of information technology, such as Responsible Use of Information Technology and Rights and Responsibilities. You also agree to comply with the terms of your Computer Network Account Agreement, and state and federal laws. The use of copyright materials is strictly prohibited without written permission from the copyright holder. NUHS/NCSD employees also have to comply.
• The terms and conditions of these policies, rules, procedures, and agreements are subject to change without prior notice. Notice of such changes may be given by posting on the Internet, by e-mail, or other means. It is your responsibility to check periodically for changes in these terms and conditions.
• Failure to comply with the terms of service may result in a discontinuation of service or disciplinary actions. Failure to comply with applicable law could result in civil actions or criminal charges.
• It is the policy of New Urban High School to respect legitimate privacy interests of the file server users within appropriate limits for educational, ethical, and legal reasons: the file server administrators routinely monitor the volume of the file server traffic for system management purposes. Usage may also be subject to security testing and monitoring. If New Urban High School receives a credible report that a violation has occurred, or if, in the course of managing the service, evidence of a violation is discovered, then the matter will be sent to the appropriate administrative office for investigation.

Disk and Bandwidth Allocation

Each user is set up with 10mb per upload and has unlimited space on the server. Users may find Network resources are limited. As a result the network file storage service will be subject to bandwidth quotas (uploads or downloads of files). Information and Instructional Technology Services reserves the right to discontinue service without notice. If you exceed your bandwidth limitations due to excessive file transfers the server will automatically and temporarily disable your account.
